I love the spiced rum produced by Mounts Bay distillery and the bottles I have given as presents to my brother in law and cousin have also gone down really well. I have just tried the honey-spiced rum for the first time and think that this is equally as good. Really impressed by this company which we visited for the first time over the Easter break.
I think that this version is just as good albeit the smooth, honey nature of this rum makes it extremely easy and smooth on the palette. It has been impossible to restrict myself to just one portion at night. As a whole , we are finding that local Cornish produce does take some beating whether it is beer, cider, ice cream or ketchup. Mounts Bay rum is pretty much the epitome of what Cornwall has to offer. Not surprised that this is considered the UK's finest rum. Would thoroughly recommend.
