Allergen Information

This policy outlines Mounts Bay Distillery's approach to allergen management, control, and declaration in accordance with UK Food Information Regulations and best industry practice.

Allergen Use on Site

Mounts Bay Distillery produces distilled spirits. Some products use botanicals classified as allergens prior to distillation.

The following allergens are handled on site:

  • Nuts (almond)
  • Honey

No other UK/EU listed allergens are intentionally used.

Distillation & Allergen Status

Where allergens such as almond are used, they are used only prior to distillation. The distillation process removes allergenic proteins, and no allergenic protein remains in the finished spirit. Allergens are declared transparently.

Honey & Vegan Status

Keynvor contains honey and is not suitable for vegans. Honey is added post-distillation and remains in the finished product.

Cross-Contact Management

Nuts are handled on site as part of specific production processes. Production equipment is cleaned between batches in accordance with documented procedures. While all reasonable steps are taken to minimise cross-contact, products are manufactured in a facility that handles nuts.

Finished Product Declarations

Products are not nut-free and are not produced in a nut-free facility.

Finished spirits do not contain gluten, milk, eggs, sulphites, or other listed allergens unless otherwise stated.

Vegan Status: Keynvor is not vegan due to honey content. All other products are suitable for vegans unless otherwise stated.
